What is the link between dogs and Rahu/Ketu in astrology?
When you Personify Rahu and Ketu they are quite close to comparing dogs and Cats. The Very nature of these two planets makes it a highly opinionated view. Rahu personified –
- Dont Know exactly what you want. But want it
- Burning desire to acquire it.
- Sudden devaluation when you get it.
- Impatient, Breathless
- Emotional
- Full of Attachment
- Lazy (no body, only head)
Ketu Personified –
- Know exactly what you have, but dont care
- Ignore what you have
- Sudden devestation when you lose it
- Procrastination, delay
- Emotionless
- Athletic (No head, only body)
- Now a lot of Shamanistic and Tantric beliefs try to manipulate using dogs and cats, to try and “Realize” predictions in a less harmful way.
- “Feed the Dog” instead of “Feed pointless thoughts” would both be a way to “Realize” the prediction of “feeding Rahu”…. its just manipulation of the mind.
Ketu resides in dogs, so as a remedy people should take care of dogs. Dog is considered as agent for rahu / ketu / shani..which graha is coorelated with cats. I observe, lots of people love cats. Just like, feeding dog is considered good remedy for shani/nodes, there are also some effects by feeding cats.. It is preferable if one takes care of street dogs, as you are doing double the work by taking care of another life while doing a remedy for Ketu/rahu.
